Who we are

Our story

The Maker Club is a Social Enterprise Registered under the laws of Zimbabwe as a Private Business Corporation. We were incorporated in 2016 and we provide extracurricular STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) activities and programs for young people aged 5 years to 17 years old. Our focus is in creating 21st century learning environments for young people that help equip them to participate in the 21st century economy and the 21st century workplace. We are not a school, we are an extracurricular club.

The 21st Century Economy

Civilization is at the dawn of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Advances in technology are interacting with other socioeconomic and demographic factors to create a perfect storm that is changing the way we live, do business and is transforming the workplace in ways never before imagined. New categories of jobs are emerging that are partly or wholly displacing existing jobs. The skill sets required in both old and new occupations are changing in most industries and transforming how and where people work.
The Maker Club is a platform where young people can be equipped with the skills, mindsets and attitudes they will need to thrive in this emerging 21st Century economy.
